Harcourts NV1 Realty Makes Generous Donations to Austin’s House
Harcourts NV1 Realty recently made two very generous donations to Austin’s House. They provided a much-needed four-wheel drive vehicle by donating a gently used Ford Excursion. Harcourts also provided supplies and labor to replace the floors in the kitchen, mudroom and hallways at Austin’s House. Wayne Prouty and PR Imports also donated some of the materials for the beautiful new floors.
These generous donations are part of Harcourts philosophy to invest in the communities where they work, live and play. Steve O’Brien and Jeremy Page have truly stepped up to help the local children in crisis that are placed at Austin’s House. “We are just paying it forward,” said Jeremy. “Giving back to the community that raised us has long been a dream of ours. We are thrilled that we can contribute to an organization that provides such compassionate care to children who have been victims of abuse and neglect.”

Austin’s House is the only emergency children’s shelter in rural Northern Nevada. Austin’s House provides services and care for up to 10 children from infants to age 18. The children are placed at Austin’s House after being removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Austin’s House provides the basic living necessities including proper nutrition, hygiene, rest, nurturing, recreation, companionship, life skills training and education. The facility depends on continued generous support from the community to keep the doors open.
